Poliwag

COMPLETED: 62 GOAL: 649




I was looking for  three shades of blue to make this little guy, but I didn't have any luck. So I settled on three shades of purple. If you want to make the tail a solid shade rather then the three colors, continue the rows without finishing off and rejoining.

Materials: crochet hook, Red Heart lavender, Canon Simply Soft orchid & blue lavender, black and dark pink yarn, black and white felt

Stuff and sew to body, just over the belly. The lower edge of nose is just touching belly. Embroider small frown on nose with black.

Row 4: sc next 2, 2 sc next, around (8)
Row 5-6: sc in each sc around (8)
Row 7: sc next 3, 2 sc next, around (10)

Weave tail between loops and pulled closed.


Legs: (make 2)
With Red Heart lavender, ch 6, join
Row1-3: sc around (6)


Sew legs to feet at Row 1 end. Then sew to body.





Finish: Cut two large ovals out of white for eyes. Two smaller ovals out of black for pupils and two even smaller ovals out of white for accents. Glue or sew to face. Position eyes at a slight angle.
