Seedot

COMPLETED: 24 GOAL: 649



I have two alternatives for Seedot's eyes. You can cut them out of felt (as I did) and sew them on or you can crochet them.

Materials: crochet hook, medium brown, light brown or tan, medium gray, and black yarn, light brown or tan and black felt, black embroidery thread

Body:
With medium brown, 6 sc in magic circle (6)
Row 1: 2 sc in each sc around (12)
Row 2: sc next sc, 2 sc next sc, around (18)
Row 3: sc next 2 sc. 2 sc next sc, around (24)
Row 4: sc next 3 sc, 2 sc next sc, around (30)
Row 5: sc next 4 sc, 2 sc next sc, around (36)
Row 6: sc next 5 sc, 2 sc next sc, around (42)
Row 7-16: sc in each sc around (42)
Row 17: sc next 5 sc, decrease over next 2 sc, around (36)
Row 18: sc next 4 sc, decrease over next 2 sc, around (30)
Row 19: sc next 3 sc, decrease over next 2 sc, around (24)
Row 20: sc next 2 sc, decrease over next 2 sc, around (18)
Row 21: sc next sc, decrease over next 2 sc, around (12)
Begin stuffing.
Row 22: decrease over next 2 sc, around (6)
Row 23: sc in each sc around (6)
Row 24: sc next sc, decrease over next 2 sc, around (3)
Row 25: sc next sc, decrease over next 2 sc, sc next sc (2)
FO and sew closed.

Cap:
With medium gray, 7 sc in magic circle (7)
Row 1: 2 sc in each sc around (14)
Row 2: sc next 2 sc, 2 sc next sc, *sc next sc, 2 sc next sc* 5 times sc next sc (20)
Row 3: *sc next 2 sc, 2 sc next sc* 6 times, sc next 2 sc (26)
Row 4: *sc next 3 sc, 2 sc next sc* 6 times, sc next 2 sc (32)
Row 5: *sc next 4 sc, 2 sc next sc* 6 times sc next 2 sc (38)
Row 6: *sc next 5 sc, 2 sc next sc* 6 times, sc next 2 sc (44)
Row 7: *sc next 6 sc, 2 sc next sc* 6 times, sc next 2 sc (50)
Row 8-16 sc in each sc around (50)
FO, roll up bottom and secure to row 13. Embroider black lines between rows 2 & 3, 7 & 8, 12 & 13. Sew to top of body, but before finishing stuff lightly.

Stem top:
With medium gray, 4 sc in magic ring (4)
Row 1: sc in each sc around (8)
Row 2: sc next sc, 2 sc next sc, around (12)

Stem sides:
With medium gray, ch 6, join
Row 1: sc in each sc around (6)
Row 2: sc next sc, 2 sc next sc, around (9)
Row 3: sc next 2 sc,*2 sc next sc, sc next sc* 3 times, sc next sc (12)
FO sew stem top to sides. Lightly stuff, top should be flat. Sew completed stem to top of cap.

Eyes: (make 2)
With tan, 3 sc in magic ring (3)
Row 1: 2 sc in each sc around, join (6)
Change to black.
Row 2: sc next sc, 2 sc next sc, around, join (9)

Eye assembly:
Row 1: With tan, begin in any sc of first eye, *sc next sc, 2 sc next sc* 4 times, sc next sc, ch 1, join to any sc in second eye, *sc next sc, 2 sc next sc* 4 times, sc next sc (26 sc, 1 ch)
Row 2: sc in ch, *sc next 2 sc, 2 sc next sc* 4 times, sc in other side of ch, *sc next 2 sc, 2 sc next sc* 4 times
FO Sew to body.



Feet: (make 2)
With tan, 4 sc in magic circle (4)
Row 1: sc next sc, 2 sc next sc, around (6)
Row 2: sc next 2 sc, 2 sc next sc, around (8)
Row 3: sc next 3 sc, 2 sc next sc, around (10)
Row 4-6: sc in each sc around (10)
Begin stuffing.
Row 7: *sc next 3 sc, decrease over next 2 sc* 2 times, sc next 2 sc (8)
Row 8: *sc next 2 sc, decrease over next 2 sc* 2 times, sc next 2 sc (6)
Row 9: sc next sc, decrease over next 2 sc, around (3)
FO Sew closed. Embroider a black line around foot between row 4 and 5.


Legs: (make 2)
With tan, ch 6, join
Row 1: sc in each ch around (6)
Row 2: sc in each sc around (6)
FO Sew legs to feet and stuff. Sew leg/feet combo to body.
